My name is Ashley Micklewright and I am a software developer currently working for Xenex Technologies, based in Birmingham.

I do a lot of my work using Microsofts .Net Framwork, and in particular creating Windows Based Programs in Visual Basic.

I graduated from university in 2008 with a 1st Class Honours in Software Development, and sampled many subjects such as Objected Oritentated Programming, Oracle and SQL Databases, Website Building, Computer Networking, VB6, C++ and others.

I enjoy creating websites away from work, and find the visual side of the development very interesting. I have recently moved to creating ASP.Net websites, and have found combining my knowledge of HTML and CSS, along with the development skills, a very good way of creating visually appealling data driven applications.

I am an avid cricket fan and have played for Cannock Cricket Club from the age of 10, and can be found most weekends in the summer grazing in the outfield. I am also a keen golfer, and although not very good, enjoy the game immensely.
